Author:Kristen Update:Jan 26,2025

Morefun Studios' highly anticipated action brawler, previously known as Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, is back and reborn as The Hidden Ones. This 3D martial arts game, based on the popular webcomic, is slated for a 2025 release, with a pre-alpha test kicking off in January.

Set in contemporary China, the game follows Zhang Chulan, a young martial artist whose grandfather's teachings thrust him into a world of intense martial arts competition. He's not alone; the trailer showcases the secondary protagonist, Wang Ye.

The recently released gameplay trailer (see below) highlights impressive features: fast-paced parkour, dynamic 3D combat incorporating dodging, energy blasts, and intense brawling.

The Hidden Ones' darker, grittier aesthetic distinguishes it from other 3D ARPGs. While not photorealistic, its grounded style is visually striking. The game's success, however, hinges on its ability to attract players unfamiliar with the source material.
