How to Get Lightcrystal in Monster Hunter Wilds

In Monster Hunter Wilds, conquering monsters is only half the battle. Crafting superior armor and weapons requires gathering essential materials, and Lightcrystals are key. This guide details the best Lightcrystal farming locations and how to use your hard-earned loot.

Monster Hunter Wilds Lightcrystal Farming Locations

Lightcrystals are obtained by mining Mining Outcrops scattered throughout Monster Hunter Wilds. The drop rate is variable, so persistent mining is key. Here are the most fruitful locations:

  • Windward Plains: Areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 17
  • Oilwell Basin: Areas 4, 6, 7
  • Iceshard Cliffs: Areas 8, 16
  • Ruins of Wyveria: Area 5

Mining Outcrops replenish approximately every 15-20 minutes. Strategically rotate between areas to maximize your farming efficiency.

How to Use Lightcrystals

Once you've amassed a sufficient supply of Lightcrystals, head back to Gemma at Base Camp. She'll use them to forge and upgrade a variety of equipment, including:

  • Guild Knight Sabers I
  • Dragon Perforator II
  • Dual Hatchets II
  • Triple Bayonet II
  • Iron Assault II
  • Iron Gale II
  • Chain Blitz II
  • Iron Accelerator II
  • Hyperguard II
  • Buster Sword II
  • Iron Hammer II
  • Metal Bagpipe II
  • Chrome Drill II
  • Iron Katana II
  • Iron Beater II
  • Ingot Vambraces
  • Thunder Charm III

While many of these items (excluding the Thunder Charm) may become obsolete relatively quickly, they provide a significant boost in the early to mid-game.
