Lenovo Legion Go 2 Debuts October, Priced From $1,099

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 25,2026

The Lenovo Legion Go 2 was first showcased at CES 2025 alongside its powerhouse AMD Z2 Extreme processor. After months of anticipation, Lenovo has confirmed an October 2025 release – though the exact launch date remains under wraps.

Dual Configuration Options

The handheld gaming PC will arrive in two variants: one featuring the standard AMD Z2 APU, and another with the more robust Z2 Extreme chipset – the same processor that drives the Asus ROG Ally X. According to Lenovo's specifications, the Z2 Extreme model supports up to 32GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, while the $1,099 base model maintains the original Legion Go's 16GB RAM configuration but now includes a 1TB SSD.

Display Upgrades and Tradeoffs

The most noticeable enhancement comes with the 1200p OLED display. While resolution dips from the original's 1600p screen, the shift to OLED technology promises richer visuals. This adjustment addresses a key criticism from our original review – that the system struggled to fully utilize its higher-resolution display. The lower resolution should translate to smoother gameplay performance.

Premium Pricing

Potential buyers should prepare for significant price increases. The base Z2 model starts at $1,099, representing a substantial jump from the first-gen Legion Go's $699 launch price in 2023. The Z2 Extreme version begins at $1,349, with the fully specced-out model topping out at $1,479. While the upgraded chipset promises performance gains, whether they justify the cost premium remains to be seen – we'll reserve final judgment until we can test it thoroughly.
