King of Fighters ALLSTAR Bids Farewell

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 18,2023

Netmarble's popular mobile beat 'em up, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is slated for closure on October 30th, 2024. This announcement, made via the official Netmarble channels, confirms the cessation of in-app purchases, effective immediately.

The unexpected closure comes after over six years of operation, during which the game enjoyed numerous collaborations with prominent fighting game franchises. The game, based on SNK's King of Fighters series, had maintained a strong player base.

According to developer statements, a contributing factor to the shutdown is the depletion of characters available for adaptation from the KoF roster. While likely not the sole reason, this offers some insight into the difficult decision.
