J.C. Lee Denies Elder Abuse Claims Against Her

J.C. Lee, the daughter of the iconic Marvel creator Stan Lee, has recently broken her silence in an exclusive interview with Business Insider, firmly denying previous allegations of elder abuse against both her father and her late mother, Joan. The accusations first surfaced in 2017, following Joan Lee's death, and gained significant attention with a detailed report published by The Hollywood Reporter in 2018.

The Hollywood Reporter article painted a troubling picture of J.C. Lee's relationship with her parents, alleging that she frequently pressured them for money and control over their assets. It also claimed that she was involved in heated confrontations with Stan Lee, describing their relationship as a "powder-keg" and suggesting instances of verbal and physical altercations. The report included photos purporting to show a bruise on Joan Lee's arm, which were central to the allegations against J.C. Lee.

In her first public response to these claims, J.C. Lee told Business Insider that the accusations were entirely "a lie." She explained that she refrained from making a public statement at the time of the THR article on the advice of those around her, a decision she now regrets. "You think I haven't regretted it to this day?" she questioned, vehemently denying any physical harm. "They are all lies. That photo is insane. I never did it."

While J.C. Lee admitted to having heated arguments with her parents over financial matters, she insisted that these disputes never escalated to physical violence. "I never ever touched my parents," she stated firmly.

Stan Lee passed away in 2018 at the age of 95 due to a heart attack.
