Marvel Studios has unveiled the first trailer for Ironheart, the highly anticipated Disney+ series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Dominique Thorne returns as Riri Williams, the tech-savvy genius who dons the Ironheart armor, after her introduction in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in 2022. Joining her is Anthony Ramos, who plays Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer offers a glimpse into the series, which will delve into Riri's transformation into a standalone superhero following her supporting role in the MCU.
The trailer hints at a complex relationship between Riri and The Hood, with Robbins initially appearing to mentor Riri in realizing her full potential. However, it's evident that The Hood's intentions may not be entirely straightforward.
Ironheart, executive produced by Ryan Coogler, is set to premiere with a three-episode launch on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Disney+. The series follows Riri as she reflects on her time in Wakanda as an "internship abroad." After being expelled from MIT, she faces a pivotal decision prompted by The Hood: "Anyone who has accomplished anything has to do questionable things. Are you in or out?"
The trailer showcases thrilling action sequences, including Riri suiting up as Ironheart, taking flight, and engaging in combat. In one dramatic scene, she grounds herself to deliver a powerful punch that sends a truck soaring over her head.

Marvel's slate of upcoming shows is robust. Another series branching from the Black Panther universe is Eyes of Wakanda, a four-episode animated mini-series focusing on the Hatut Zaraze, an elite group of Wakandan warriors. This series is scheduled to launch on August 6.
Additionally, Marvel is set to release Marvel Zombies, another four-episode animated mini-series, and the live-action series Wonder Man. Marvel Zombies will premiere on October 3 and is set in the zombie reality introduced in the first season of What If…?. The series will feature several MCU actors reprising their roles, including Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Awkwafina as Katy Chen, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan.
Wonder Man, slated for a December 2025 premiere, will star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, a superpowered actor and a recurring member of the Avengers in the comics. The series will also see the return of Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery, the actor who portrayed the fake Mandarin in Iron Man 3, and Demetrius Grosse as the Grim Reaper, Simon's villainous brother.
