⚫︎ Hogwarts Legacy community manager Chandler Wood has confirmed that official modding support for the PC version will launch as a free update on January 30. The update includes the Creator Kit and Mod Manager, making it easy for players to design and install mods directly through CurseForge. Note that this update is only available for PC – console players do not have official modding tools. This opens the door for innovative customizations, such as replacing broomsticks with dragons or designing brand-new quests, though it has also caused issues for many existing unofficial mods. Before this official release, PC players relied on third-party mods for personalization, but the new system has made many older mods incompatible, affecting character models and various gameplay adjustments.

The original Nintendo Switch version was limited by its hardware capabilities, so a rumored definitive or director's cut optimized for the next-gen console could deliver a much richer experience, possibly including new content to draw players back into the magical world.
