How to Get the Hermit’s Sword in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (Hermit Quest Guide)

To attend the Semine wedding, you'll need to navigate a few quests. If you're following the blacksmith's questline in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, here's how to complete the Hermit quest.

How to Start the Hermit Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The Hermit quest unlocks automatically as you progress through blacksmith Radovan's quests. After retrieving the lost cart, report back to Radovan. He'll then mention forging a wedding gift, initiating the Hermit questline. Before confronting the hermit, you'll need to speak with villagers in Troskowitz.

Gathering Information About the Hermit

Begin at the Troskowitz tavern. Speak with Innkeeper Betty, exhausting all dialogue options. Then, talk to other villagers (like the alehouse maid or trader) for additional information.

Talk to Gerda and Stanislav

Next, speak with Gerda in Troskowitz; she witnessed an apparition. Offer Groschen or attempt a dialogue check to obtain information. Afterward, talk to Stanislav in Apollonia. Again, either pay or succeed at a dialogue check.

Gather Evidence

Find the cross Gerda mentioned and dig up the grave (you'll need a spade; buy one from the trader or find one in cemeteries). Examine the found Groschen, documents, and artifacts related to the Knights of the Cross.

After reading the documents, investigate the quest marker in Apollonia. You'll find a hut and a black horse; examine the horse for your next clue.

Talk to the Hermit

Approach the hermit's hut. Without evidence, he won't talk. Once you have the evidence, use these dialogue options: "You're suspicious," exhaust all dialogue about clues, and then "Out with it!" He'll reveal his true identity as Konrad. Before giving up the sword, he asks you to speak with Margaret and give her a cross.

Find Margaret near Apollonia's cemetery, give her the cross, and optionally help her dig Ambrose's grave (Sinful Soul quest). You can return to Konrad immediately if you wish.

Help Konrad or Kill Him

Returning to the hut, you'll find Crusaders. You can either help them kill Konrad or help Konrad escape. If you choose to help Konrad escape, sneak to the hut. Tell him you completed the quest and ask about the sword. You can then help or kill him.

Get the Hermit’s Sword

North of the hut, find two tangled oak trees; the sword is stuck in the ground. Retrieve it and return to Radovan in Tachov to complete the quest.
