Warhorse Studios is putting the finishing touches on a brutally challenging hardcore mode for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The developers recently announced on Discord that a select group of 100 volunteer testers are currently putting the mode through its paces. Recruitment has now closed, signaling the final stages of development are underway.

While specifics remain under wraps, expect a hardcore experience reminiscent of the first game's notoriously difficult mode. Kingdom Come: Deliverance's hardcore mode famously limited saves, cranked up enemy damage, made navigation a true test of patience, slashed gold rewards, and introduced punishing negative perks. Deliverance 2's version will likely build upon and intensify these elements.

Testers are bound by strict NDAs, preventing the release of screenshots or gameplay videos. However, this testing phase strongly suggests an official announcement and release of information is imminent.
