G.I. Joe Goes Heavy Metal in Hasbro's Incredible Cold Slither Box Set

IGN has an exclusive first look at Hasbro's latest G.I. Joe Classified Series release: a rockin' Cobra Commander Zartan and his Dreadnoks band, Cold Slither!

This action figure set, inspired by a classic G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero episode, will be a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive this summer (July 24-27, 2025). The "G.I. Joe Classified: Dreadnoks Cold Slither - Band of Vipers" set includes 6-inch figures of Zartan, Ripper, Buzzer, and Torch, fully decked out in heavy metal concert attire. With a whopping 29 accessories, including instruments like a guitar, bass, keytar, and drum kit, this set is a must-have for collectors. The packaging itself is designed to mimic the Springfield Theater.

While supplies last at SDCC, limited quantities will be available afterward on Hasbro Pulse.

For fans of vintage G.I. Joe, Hasbro and Super7 are collaborating on a Cold Slither Zartan ReAction+ figure. This 3.75-inch figure, featuring O-ring construction and retro packaging, glows in the dark under UV light and includes a microphone and guitar. Pre-orders start April 3rd at 9:15 am PT on the Super7 website for $20.

And the musical theme extends beyond the figures! Hasbro and Reigning Phoenix Music are releasing a Cold Slither album featuring 10 tracks described as "searing distorted guitar riffs, pounding rhythms, and irresistibly catchy, anthemic choruses." The album's namesake track is, of course, "Cold Slither."
