GBA Racing Classic "F-Zero Climax" Joins Nintendo Switch Online

This exciting announcement brings two beloved titles from Nintendo's acclaimed F-Zero franchise to a modern audience. F-Zero: GP Legend, initially released in 2003 in Japan and 2004 worldwide, joins the lineup alongside F-Zero Climax, a Japan-exclusive title from 2004 that's finally making its global debut. This marks the first time F-Zero Climax has been available outside of Japan.

The F-Zero series, known for its groundbreaking speed and challenging gameplay, has been a cornerstone of Nintendo's racing legacy since its debut in 1990. Its influence is undeniable, inspiring other racing franchises such as SEGA's Daytona USA. The series pushed the boundaries of console technology in its time, delivering some of the fastest racing experiences on SNES and beyond.

Like the popular Mario Kart series, F-Zero features intense competition, track obstacles, and thrilling battles between racers and their unique "F-Zero machines." The series' iconic protagonist, Captain Falcon, even made his mark as a fighter in Super Smash Bros.
