More gameplay and release date of DOOM: The Dark Ages is finally revealed

Bethesda and id Software showcased a new DOOM: The Dark Ages demo during the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks of a May 15th release date.

Transporting players to a medieval setting, The Dark Ages promises a distinct gameplay experience from its predecessors. Players will embody a powerful, tank-like combatant, prioritizing ground-based combat over the frenetic parkour of DOOM: Eternal. The focus shifts to strategic use of a robust arsenal to decimate demonic hordes.

Central to this destruction will be a shield and mace, alongside a unique addition: a colossal mech suit for battling smaller demons. Furthermore, players will experience the thrill of dragon riding during the campaign.

A customizable difficulty system allows players to tailor the challenge, adjusting enemy damage and other parameters to their preference.
