ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition's Impressive Debut: 3 Million Downloads in Three Weeks

ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition, the free-to-play mobile game launched on December 18th, 2024, has achieved a remarkable milestone, surpassing three million downloads within its first three weeks. This spin-off of the popular ARK: Survival Evolved franchise, developed by Grove Street Games, is available on iOS and Android.

Despite receiving mixed reviews upon release, the game's popularity is steadily growing. Its performance significantly outpaces the 2018 mobile port of ARK: Survival Evolved, boasting a 100% increase in downloads. This success follows the well-received 2022 Nintendo Switch port of ARK: Survival Evolved, also handled by Grove Street Games.

Currently, the game holds a 3.9/5 rating on the App Store (412 ratings) and a 3.6/5 rating on the Google Play Store (over 52,500 ratings). It's also performing strongly in app store rankings, currently holding a top 25 position in adventure games on iOS and a top 10 spot in top-grossing adventure games on Android.

Future plans for ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition include the addition of new maps, such as Ragnarok, Extinction, Genesis Part 1, and Genesis Part 2, further expanding the dinosaur-filled world. The game is also slated for release on the Epic Games Store in 2025, offering players greater platform choice. This positive momentum for the mobile title comes as Studio Wildcard prepares to release further content updates for ARK: Survival Ascended and awaits the eventual launch of ARK 2.
