Keep Track of Your Fortnite Spending: A Guide to Checking Your Total

Fortnite is free, but its tempting skins can lead to significant V-Buck purchases. It's wise to monitor your spending to avoid unexpected bank statement surprises. Here's how to see your Fortnite expenditure.

There are two main ways to check your Fortnite spending: directly through your Epic Games Store account and using a third-party website. Regularly reviewing your spending is crucial for budgeting. Why? Because seemingly small purchases accumulate quickly.

Think of the example of a player unknowingly spending nearly $800 on Candy Crush in three months, believing they'd only spent around $50. This highlights the importance of tracking in-game spending. Let's explore how to check your Fortnite spending.

Review Your Epic Games Store Account

Epic Games transactions page showing Fortnite purchasesAll V-Buck transactions, regardless of platform or payment method, are recorded in your Epic Games Store account. To check your spending:

  1. Visit the Epic Games Store website and log in.
  2. Click your username in the top right corner.
  3. Select "Account," then "Transactions."
  4. On the "Purchase" tab, scroll through your transactions, clicking "Show More" as needed.
  5. Identify entries showing "5,000 V-Bucks" (or similar) and their corresponding dollar amounts.
  6. Record the V-Bucks and currency amounts.
  7. Use a calculator to sum your total V-Bucks and total currency spent.

Important Notes: Free Epic Games Store games will appear in your transactions, requiring you to filter them out. V-Bucks card redemptions might not show a dollar value. Despite these limitations, this is the most accurate method for tracking your Fortnite spending.

Utilizing Fortnite.gg

As noted by Dot Esports, Fortnite.gg offers a way to track your purchases, although it requires manual input:

  1. Go to Fortnite.gg and log in (or create an account).
  2. Navigate to "My Locker."
  3. Manually add each purchased outfit and cosmetic item by clicking on it and then "+ Locker." You can also search for items.
  4. Your locker will then display the total V-Buck value of your collected items.
  5. Use a V-Buck to dollar converter to estimate your total spending.

Neither method is completely foolproof, but they provide reasonable estimates of your Fortnite spending.

Fortnite is playable on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
