Fortnite Adds a Highly Requested Feature

Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 1 update introduces a highly anticipated feature: using Fortnite Festival instruments as pickaxes and back blings! This addition, readily accessible via a new "instruments" option in the locker, has been met with enthusiastic player response.

Beyond this exciting addition, the update also boasts new cosmetics from the Godzilla collaboration, providing players with fresh outfits and accessories.

The Fortnite Festival mode itself continues to expand, offering a unique gameplay experience reminiscent of Guitar Hero. Players can purchase licensed music and instrument cosmetics in the Item Shop. Recent additions include local co-op and collaborations with renowned artists like Snoop Dogg, Metallica, and Lady Gaga, further enriching the Festival experience.

This update cleverly integrates Festival instruments into the core battle royale gameplay. Microphones, guitars, and other instruments are now selectable as both back blings and pickaxes, seamlessly switching between roles. The instrument disappears when used as a pickaxe and reappears upon switching items. A significant Hatsune Miku crossover also brings new outfits and instruments to the game.

The streamlined access to the new instrument feature – simply sort back blings and pickaxes by the new "instruments" category in the locker – makes it incredibly user-friendly. Existing instruments previously limited to back bling or pickaxe roles have also been updated for use within Fortnite Festival.

The Godzilla collaboration further enhances the update, offering pink and blue edit styles for Godzilla cosmetics. Battle Pass challenges unlock additional accessories, including wraps, harvesters, and gliders. The abundance of new content has generated significant excitement within the Fortnite community.
