Football Manager 2025 cancelled on all platforms

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 19,2025

The popular sports simulator, Football Manager 2025, has been cancelled across all platforms, including its anticipated mobile release. This follows several release date postponements. Sports Interactive, the developer, attributed the cancellation to difficulties in reaching their target technical quality. They've stated they're now focusing on the next installment in the franchise.

This news is undoubtedly disappointing for fans, particularly given the previously announced Netflix Games mobile release, which promised to bring the franchise to a wider audience. That plan is now on hold indefinitely.

A Difficult Decision

The late cancellation, especially considering the March release date, is frustrating for many. The lack of planned updates to Football Manager 24 further compounds the disappointment.

However, it's also commendable that Sports Interactive prioritized quality over a rushed, subpar release. This commitment to delivering a high-quality product deserves recognition, even if the communication could have been improved. Hopefully, Football Manager 26 will see a return to Netflix Games.
