"Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 Development Progressing Smoothly, Confirms Director"

Game director Hamaguchi has shared that the team is diligently working on the sequel to Final Fantasy VII, but he has urged fans to remain patient as more details will be revealed in due time. According to Hamaguchi, 2024 was a banner year for the second installment of the trilogy, Final Fantasy Rebirth, which garnered numerous awards and captivated players globally. The creators are now focused on broadening the Final Fantasy VII fan base and are set to introduce unique challenges in the upcoming third installment.

Interestingly, Hamaguchi also highlighted his interest in Grand Theft Auto VI this year. He expressed solidarity with the Rockstar Games team, acknowledging the pressure they face following the phenomenal success of GTA V.

While specifics about the third part of the trilogy remain under wraps, Hamaguchi assures that development is progressing "smoothly." It's worth noting that the team is still actively working on Final Fantasy Rebirth, which was released less than a year ago. Hamaguchi promises that players will experience something truly unique in the next installment.

In other news, Final Fantasy XVI's launch in May 2024 did not meet sales expectations, and its performance slowed down, falling short of the fiscal year's projections. As of now, the exact sales figures have not been disclosed. Similarly, Square Enix has not released the latest sales figures for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which also fell below the company's expectations shortly after release. However, Square Enix has clarified that they do not consider the sales of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth to be a complete failure. Moreover, there is still confidence that Final Fantasy XVI can reach its sales targets within the next 18 months.
