To resolve the ongoing feud between Prochek and Olbram during the Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, follow these steps for a peaceful resolution:

How to Start Battle of Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

The side quest, Battle of the Frogs and Mice, becomes available after completing either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Upon completing either, speak to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to initiate the quest. Then, proceed to the pasture to begin.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

While Henry is initially faced with choosing between Prochek and Olbram, there's an alternative route to end the feud. To side with Prochek, speak to him in Tachov and choose, "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" To side with Olbram, talk to him in Zhelejov and say, "Let's go and see those Tachovites!" However, engaging in dialogue at the pasture won't help reconcile them and may trigger the fight prematurely. If you pass a dialogue check during negotiations, one enemy will flee, simplifying the battle. Siding with either will earn you some groschen.

How to Stop the Feud

For a more harmonious outcome, before heading to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram if they wish to end the feud. Then, visit Baliff Thrush in Troskowitz and select the dialogue option, "You'd finally have some peace." Successfully passing the subsequent dialogue check allows you access to the scribe's room to read the Troskowitz Chronicle. If persuasion fails, consider sneaking in, but save your game first.

When speaking with the scribe, choose, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."

At the pasture, locate three aligned oak trees. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. Your options with the nail are:

  • Leaving it in the middle tree splits the pasture equally between Tachov and Zhelejov.
  • Placing it in the west tree favors Tachov with more land.
  • Placing it in the east tree benefits Zhelejov with more land.

The choice of where to place the nail is flexible, so select based on your preference or remain neutral. After deciding, revisit Baliff Thrush, who will agree to end the feud. Then, bring Prochek or Olbram to the pasture to successfully conclude the feud.

Afterward, speak with Baliff Thrush to receive the Master Studies I book.

This approach effectively ends the feud between Prochek and Olbram in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, ensuring a more peaceful resolution to the Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest.
