While the full cast hasn't been confirmed, Leslie Uggams (Betty Pearson) has confirmed her return, revealing filming starts next month. It's anticipated that Ella Purnell (Lucy MacLean) and Walton Goggins (Cooper "The Ghoul" Howard) will also reprise their roles. Uggams teased that Betty Pearson has some surprises in store, hinting at a significant role for the Vault-Tec executive assistant. "I am with the Vault People, so I didn’t get to see what the Earth people were doing," she stated. "So when it came on, I was blown away. But Betty’s got some things up her sleeve. Just stay tuned."

A 2026 premiere is estimated, considering filming and post-production timelines. This aligns with the production schedule of season one (filming July 2022, premiere April 2024). However, an official release date remains unannounced.

Producer Graham Wagner revealed a key plot point: Fallout S2 is heading to New Vegas! The infamous Robert House, antagonist from Fallout: New Vegas, will be featured. The extent of his involvement remains unclear, but his presence was hinted at in a season one flashback.

The second season will further explore untold stories and expand on season one's hints, delving deeper into Vault-Tec executives, the origins of the Great War, and offering more character development through flashbacks. Showrunner Robertson-Dworet has previously confirmed this direction.
