Explore Spider-Woman's Origins in New Marvel Contest of Champions Update

April is shaping up to be a thrilling month for Marvel Contest of Champions players, with the introduction of exciting new champions and engaging content. The spotlight this month is on Spider-Woman, also known as Jessica Drew, who will make her debut in the game on April 17th. Jessica's journey to becoming Spider-Woman is as intriguing as it gets. Born near a uranium site, she was exposed to its harmful effects as a child. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a serum derived from spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica emerged not only healed but also endowed with incredible spider-like powers, leading her to take on the mantle of Spider-Woman.

But before Spider-Woman swings into action, another champion, Lumatrix, will join the fray on April 9th. Designed by the Founders, Lumatrix is a formidable assassin known for his lethal light-based powers and stealthy infiltration skills. His arrival promises to shake things up in the Contest.

On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," delves deeper into the unfolding drama. Carina suffers a severe injury after clashing with Ouroborus forces, while Doctor Doom unexpectedly aligns with the Fantastic Four. The menacing spread of Chronoserpent corruption adds to the tension, and a new villain, Lotan, emerges to challenge the heroes.

A new Event Quest, "Spy Games," kicks off on April 9th and will run until May 7th. Black Widow enlists the help of Spider-Woman to unravel the mysteries surrounding the enigmatic Eidols, promising a gripping storyline.

The return of Dark Phoenix in the Side Quest "Dark Bounties" adds another layer of excitement. With a bounty placed on various Champions, players must track them down to claim their rewards.
