Elden Ring Confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2 Launch in 2025

Elden Ring will arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2025.

Nintendo announced the exciting, yet anticipated, news today during its Switch 2 Direct showcase. Details on how FromSoftware’s open-world epic will compare to its earlier releases on other platforms remain unclear, but its inclusion in today’s event confirms that Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will reach Nintendo fans this year.

Since its debut in February 2022, Elden Ring has become a cultural juggernaut, selling over 13 million copies in its first month and nearly 29 million to date. Players have defeated its bosses using the Nintendo Switch Ring Fit controller and tackled daring speedrunning feats. The 2023 Shadow of the Erdtree DLC further elevated the game, while the upcoming cooperative spin-off, Elden Ring: Nightreign, has shown promise in early public network tests.
