Funcom has recently released an enthralling new trailer for Dune: Awakening, their upcoming multiplayer survival game set within the iconic universe of Frank Herbert's "Dune". This latest trailer dives deep into the expansive deserts of Arrakis, showcasing the myriad of challenges and opportunities players will encounter in this vast, sandy landscape.

In Dune: Awakening, survival hinges on exploration. Players will need to traverse the treacherous dunes to collect crucial resources needed for crafting shelters and vehicles, including combat-ready ornithopters. To streamline the process of resource gathering, players can employ a scanner, and by strategically placing probes on high ground, they can uncover vital points of interest across the map.

These points of interest vary from crashed spacecraft to forsaken outposts. Accessing these locations often demands creative problem-solving, with tools such as grappling hooks, power belts, and specialized gear proving indispensable. All equipment can be enhanced at the player's base using modular components, ensuring readiness against the perils that lie in wait.

The early access launch of Dune: Awakening is scheduled for May 20, and will be available exclusively on PC. Console versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are slated for release at a later date.
