Dredge Mobile Port Delayed to Next Year; Closed Beta in December

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 04,2025

If you were eagerly anticipating diving into the eerie waters of Greater Marrow in Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian-inspired fishing horror, we've got some disappointing news. The much-anticipated mobile port of Dredge has been delayed until February 2025. However, there's a silver lining: Black Salt Games has announced that sign-ups are now open for a new closed beta to accompany this delay.

For those unfamiliar with Dredge, you take on the role of a fisherman in the town of Greater Marrow. Initially, your job seems straightforward—catching fresh fish to sell to the townsfolk. But as you delve deeper, you'll encounter weirder creatures from the ocean depths, mysterious beings, and all sorts of monstrous oddities. There's also the looming threat of losing your sanity and strange occurrences on a mysterious nearby island...

You can sign up for the new closed mobile beta of Dredge using this Google form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards, critical acclaim, and accolades that Dredge has received indicate that this is a release well worth the wait, especially if you haven't yet experienced it.

Fishin' ain't easyHaving played Dredge on PC myself, I can attest that such a delay is understandable. Translating this expansive world to mobile is no small feat. But if the mobile version mirrors the main release, there will be plenty of content to explore. The decision to conduct another closed beta is a smart move, allowing more players to provide feedback and get a taste of this unique blend of horror and fishing.
