Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, especially without proper weaponry. Fortunately, acquiring the Dogwood Village Bow early and without cost is entirely possible. This guide details how to obtain this valuable ranged weapon.

After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves securing a job, either with a blacksmith or a miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location conveniently marks the bow's whereabouts on your map. Even if you opt for the miller's job, locating the bow remains straightforward.

The blacksmith's workshop is situated in Tachov, north of Troskowitz (where the prologue concludes). West of Troskowitz, follow the path north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, veer right towards a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable area houses a small training ground.

Within this cluster, you'll find a target with arrows – a free supply of ammunition. To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. The area also offers additional resources like brew and mushrooms. Once you've gathered your supplies, resume your quest.

Alternative Acquisition Methods

While purchasing the Dogwood Village Bow from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov is an option, it's not the most cost-effective approach, especially considering its relatively weak power compared to other available weapons. Therefore, securing the free bow is strongly recommended if you lack ranged combat options. However, Vitek's shop offers stronger weapons, and you can supplement your income through alchemy.

Regardless of your weapon acquisition method, having a ranged weapon significantly enhances combat, particularly beneficial for players who prefer this style. Combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 maintains a similar feel to its predecessor, but ranged combat offers a strategic advantage.

After securing the bow, continue your journey to Tachov (if you chose the blacksmith job), save your game after proving your smithing skills, or proceed to the miller to advance the main quest.

In conclusion, this guide provides a simple method for obtaining a free and early ranged weapon advantage in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
