Get ready, CrossCode and 2.5D RPG enthusiasts! Radical Fish Games, the creators of the critically acclaimed CrossCode, have unveiled their next project: Alabaster Dawn, a captivating 2.5D action RPG. This upcoming title plunges players into a post-apocalyptic world where humanity's survival hangs in the balance after a devastating event orchestrated by a vengeful goddess.

Officially revealed after a period under the codename "Project Terra," Alabaster Dawn is poised to launch on Steam Early Access in late 2025. While a precise release date remains undisclosed, the game is currently available for wishlisting on Steam. A public demo is also planned for release at a later date.

For Gamescom attendees, Radical Fish Games will offer a limited number of hands-on Alabaster Dawn play sessions. Even if you miss the gameplay, the studio invites everyone for a chat at their booth from Wednesday to Friday.

Alabaster Dawn: DMC and KH-Inspired Combat

Alabaster Dawn unfolds in the ravaged world of Tiran Sol, a desolate landscape left in the wake of Goddess Nyx's destructive power. Players assume the role of Juno, the Outcast Chosen, tasked with the monumental challenge of reviving humanity and breaking Nyx's devastating curse.

Expect an expansive adventure boasting 30-60 hours of gameplay across seven diverse regions. Rebuild settlements, forge trade routes, and engage in exhilarating combat inspired by the likes of Devil May Cry, Kingdom Hearts, and the studio's own CrossCode. Master eight unique weapons, each with its own dedicated skill tree. Additional gameplay elements include parkour, puzzle-solving, enchanting, and even cooking!

The developers have reached a significant development milestone, with the first 1-2 hours of gameplay nearing completion. This achievement, while seemingly small, represents a substantial step forward in the game's development.
