Critical Role Climax Delay Due to Fires

Due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, Critical Role has postponed this week's episode of Campaign 3. The impact on the cast, crew, and community has necessitated this delay. While a return on January 16th is hoped for, further postponements remain a possibility.

Campaign 3 is nearing its thrilling conclusion, with the recent episode ending on a significant cliffhanger. The exact number of remaining episodes is unknown, but the end of this campaign is imminent, potentially paving the way for a new campaign using the Daggerheart TTRPG system.

The January 9th stream cancellation directly resulted from the wildfires. Several cast and crew members were personally affected. Matt Mercer and Marisha Ray were forced to evacuate, while Dani Carr narrowly escaped harm. Sadly, producer Kyle Shire lost his home and possessions. The remaining cast members have shared updates confirming their safety.

Although Critical Role aims to resume streaming on January 16th on Beacon and Twitch, additional delays are understandable given the ongoing situation. The Critical Role community is urged to be patient and support those impacted by the fires.

The Critical Role Foundation, supported by community donations, is contributing $30,000 to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund. This exemplifies the show's core message: "Don't forget to love each other," a sentiment resonating deeply amidst this challenging time.
