Author:Kristen Update:May 07,2026
  • Crashlands 2 receives a major new update.
  • Legends Mode increases the challenge, while Explorer Mode offers a more relaxed experience.
  • New adjustments and additions bring even more fun to Crashlands 2.

One month after its release, Crashlands 2 has earned strong praise from both critics and players. Developer Butterscotch Shenanigans, however, isn't resting on its success. They've just launched a significant update, introducing an even more difficult mode for seasoned players and expanding an already content-rich game.

This new "Legend Mode" ramps up the difficulty significantly. Enemies and environmental hazards deal more damage, while protagonist Flux Dabes becomes more vulnerable. For players seeking a gentler pace, the update also adds "Explorer Mode," perfect for those who just want to relax and fish.

Addressing player feedback, Butterscotch Shenanigans has reintroduced a beloved feature from the original game. The Compendium is back, cataloging every discovery you make and tracking your progress toward uncovering 100% of the game's secrets.

Your companion pets are now more than just adorable sidekicks. Update 1.1 transforms them into fully capable combat partners. Furthermore, crafted armor now comes with random bonuses, just like in the first Crashlands.

For players who felt the opening tutorial was too long, this update brings good news. Version 1.1 introduces new weapons, gadgets, and trinkets earlier in the game, allowing you to experiment with the full range of Crashlands 2's mechanics much sooner.

With additional features like adjustable nighttime darkness, more space for building, and home teleporters, Crashlands 2 is now better than ever.
