Diving into the world of *Monster Hunter Wilds*, you'll encounter the innovative Artian weapons, a late-game feature that revolutionizes how you craft and customize your arsenal. These weapons let you tailor your gear with a wide array of stats and elements, making them a game-changer for seasoned hunters. Here's everything you need to know to master Artian weapons and elevate your gameplay.

Unlocking Artian weapons requires you to progress through the game. You must first complete the main story to unlock High Rank. Following this, you'll need to defeat your first Tempered monster, which will be hinted at by NPCs commenting on its formidable appearance and numerous scars.
After vanquishing this challenging foe, Gemma will initiate a conversation about Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial that guides you through the crafting process. You'll learn that each weapon type requires three components, each with a rarity value, an element type, and an Artian bonus. To craft a weapon, you must use components of the same rarity value. The elemental effect of your weapon depends on the predominant element among your components. For instance, using two water and one lightning component results in a water weapon, while using three water components intensifies the water infusion. However, mixing three different elements will yield a weapon without any elemental infusion.
The Artian bonus offers either an attack boost, increasing your weapon's damage output, or an affinity boost, enhancing your critical hit chance. Your choice depends on your preferred playstyle. To craft these weapons, you'll need Artian materials, which you can acquire by hunting Tempered monsters.

Obtaining Artian materials involves hunting Tempered monsters in High Rank areas. After defeating your first Tempered monster, you'll start encountering one or two in each area. You'll receive notifications about their presence, and they're easily identifiable on the map with a distinctive blue outline.
Defeating or capturing these monsters will reward you with Artian parts, which you can find alongside other rewards like decorations. As your hunter rank increases, the rarity of these parts will also escalate, ensuring a natural progression in your gear's quality. While there's no direct correlation between the monster you hunt and the specific Artian drops, you can focus on hunting monsters you enjoy or those that drop parts useful for other weapons or armor. Keep farming these formidable beasts to gather the materials you need to craft your ideal Artian weapons.
