Developer Sandfall Interactive has announced that the soundtrack for their highly acclaimed turn-based RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has soared to the top of Billboard album charts shortly after its release. The game, which launched on April 24, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S (including Game Pass), has not only captivated players with its engaging story and gameplay but also with its enchanting music.

The Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 soundtrack has dominated the Classical Albums and Classical Crossover Albums charts on Billboard. Furthermore, it has impressively charted at number 13 on the Official Soundtrack Album chart and 31 on the Official Album Download chart, showcasing the widespread appeal of its music.

Comprising over 150 tracks, the soundtrack has garnered significant attention on streaming platforms. The standout track, Lumière, has amassed nearly 1.9 million views on YouTube and just over 1.9 million streams on Spotify. This achievement is particularly noteworthy given that the composer, Lorien Testard, was discovered on SoundCloud, as highlighted in an interview with the BBC.

The success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 extends beyond its music. Within less than two weeks of its launch, the game has sold over 2 million copies, marking a significant milestone for Sandfall Interactive. The game's reception has been so positive that it even prompted a congratulatory message from French President Emmanuel Macron.
