Carrion the Reverse Horror Game That Lets You Hunt, Consume and Evolve Drops on Mobile Soon!

Devolver Digital's impressive Android game library, featuring titles like GRIS, Reigns: Her Majesty, and Downwell, is about to get even better. The chilling "reverse-horror" game, Carrion, is making its mobile debut on October 31st.

Initially released on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in July 2020, Carrion offers a unique take on the horror genre. Developed by Phobia Game Studio and published by Devolver Digital, this mobile version promises the same terrifying experience.

Carrion Mobile: A Horror Story from the Monster's Perspective

In Carrion, you embody a creature straight from a nightmare – you are the horror. Control a mysterious red blob, using tentacles to slither, claw, and devour anything in your path. This "reverse-horror" game flips the script; instead of survival, you're the source of terror.

Trapped within a high-security Relith Science research lab, you, The Monster, have escaped your containment. Scientists' attempts to control you through DNA manipulation have failed. Your goal? Escape the facility using any means necessary. Consume scientists, security guards, and anyone who stands in your way. Crawl through vents, smash doors, and unleash your tentacles to hunt. Carrion mobile delivers the same chaotic destruction as its PC counterpart.

Progress through the game unlocks upgrades, allowing you to breach barricades and grow in size. See the game in action:

Fans of Metroidvania-style games will find much to enjoy in Carrion's blend of exploration and progression. The pixel art style gives the gore a surprisingly charming aesthetic.
