Capcom Warns It Will 'Take Action' Against Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Ahead of Title Update 1

Author:Kristen Update:May 27,2025

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its inaugural Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that challenge players to compete for the fastest clear times. In response to this new feature, Capcom has issued a strong statement against cheating, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment.

In a recent post on the official Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom warned players: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This stern message underscores Capcom's zero-tolerance policy towards any form of cheating.

Furthermore, Capcom highlighted that not only will cheaters face consequences, but players who join multiplayer hunts with cheaters may also see their quest completion times invalidated and their "right to rewards" revoked. The company advised players to be vigilant and avoid playing with those engaging in prohibited activities. "Please take caution to avoid playing multiplayer with those who are engaging in prohibited activity, or those you suspect of such," Capcom stated, encouraging players to report any fraudulent behavior they encounter.

The new quests will offer attractive rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be distributed to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This reward structure explains Capcom's intensified efforts to curb cheating and maintain the integrity of the competition.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub at Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Be sure to prioritize this mission when Title Update 1 launches tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
