Unlocking Farm Expansion in Fields of Mistria

Introduced in the v0.13.0 update, the Farm Expansion significantly boosts your farm’s size by extending it across the river to the east. This new area provides ample space for additional buildings and crop fields, enhancing your farming capabilities.

You can purchase the Farm Expansion at the Carpenter’s Shop located in the Eastern Road area. While it’s available as early as your first year in town, unlocking it requires meeting substantial progress milestones.

To access the Farm Expansion, you must elevate the town to Rank 55 by accumulating Renown points. Additionally, completing the Stone Refinery repair quest is essential for gathering required materials, which also unlocks at Rank 55, creating a cohesive progression path.

After meeting these prerequisites, focus on collecting the necessary materials for the expansion. It’s a significant investment, so brace for a dedicated effort to gather everything needed.

Building the Farm Expansion in Fields of Mistria

Visit the Carpenter’s Shop on the Eastern Road, northeast of Mistria’s town center. From the shop’s menu, select ‘Farm Expansion’ at the bottom to view the required materials and costs for the upgrade.

The expansion demands 40,000 Tesserae, a hefty sum that requires time to amass. Maximize your earnings through farming, gathering, fishing, and completing quests. Regularly explore the Mines, fish often, and donate new items to the Museum to boost your funds.

You’ll also need 50 Refined Stone, which requires repairing the Stone Refinery. This task is locked until you reach Town Rank 55 and repair the Inn, so plan your progress accordingly.

Lastly, gather 50 Hard Wood, the easiest component. Equip a Copper Axe to chop large tree stumps around your farm and beyond, yielding 2 Hard Wood each. You can also purchase Hard Wood from Balor’s Cart on specific days or earn it by donating items to the Museum.

Once you’ve gathered all materials and funds, return to the Carpenter’s Shop and select ‘Buy’ to purchase the expansion. This upgrade extends your farm eastward across the river, complete with a bridge for easy access.
