Black Ops 6 Dev Unveils New Challenge Tracking Tool

Treyarch is developing a much-requested feature for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: in-game challenge tracking. This functionality, present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6 at launch, disappointing many players.

While a release date remains unannounced, the feature's development was confirmed via a recent Twitter interaction with a fan. With Season 2 launching later this month, its arrival may be imminent.

A recent January 9th update addressed various bug fixes across Multiplayer and Zombies modes. Significant changes were made to the Zombies mode, reversing controversial alterations to round timing and zombie spawning in Directed Mode following player feedback.

Challenge Tracking: A Game Changer

The addition of in-game challenge tracking is highly anticipated, especially for players pursuing Mastery camos. Mirroring Modern Warfare 3's implementation, it's expected to provide a real-time challenge progress tracker within the game's UI, eliminating the need to wait until match completion to check progress.

Further Improvements on the Horizon

Treyarch also confirmed the development of separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes, addressing another player concern. This would allow for customized HUD configurations tailored to each game mode, enhancing the overall player experience.
