Black Ops 6: Camo Challenge Tracking Explained

Author:Kristen Update:Mar 12,2025

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 has arrived, bringing with it a game-changer for camo enthusiasts: Camo Challenge Tracking. This new feature significantly streamlines the often-grueling camo unlock process, making the pursuit of Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter achievements more manageable.

The patch notes describe Camo Challenge Tracking as a tool allowing players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges simultaneously. But the real magic lies in its "Near Completion" notification system. This feature alerts you to challenges nearing completion, even if they aren't among your actively tracked ones.

This means you can strategically select 10 camo challenges to actively monitor within the game, eliminating the need to constantly check your progress in the main menu. Progress updates are readily available during matches, keeping you focused on the action.

How to Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6

To add a challenge to your tracker, navigate to the desired Camo or Calling Card challenge. Press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation) to add it to your tracking list. You can then monitor your progress live during matches, planning your next steps efficiently.

Even without manually selecting challenges, the game intelligently highlights those closest to completion. This information is always accessible, providing a helpful overview of your near-term unlock potential. Additionally, the Daily Challenge section in the *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* lobby displays your top tracked and near-complete challenges, offering a comprehensive view of your progress.

Unlocking special camos has also received a significant upgrade. Previously requiring nine preceding military camos, now only five are needed. While two special camos are still required for mastery camos, this adjustment makes the path to coveted camos considerably less arduous.

This update directly addresses player feedback regarding the sheer volume of camos and the difficulty in tracking progress. Treyarch has clearly listened, implementing a more efficient system to enhance the overall *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
