Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8

Larian Studios announced a January launch for the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 stress test, accessible via Steam on PC and consoles (Xbox and PlayStation). Mac and GOG users will not have access. Registration is open now.

Larian aims to thoroughly test Patch 8 for stability and gameplay issues before its official release, emphasizing the importance of community participation in identifying bugs. A key focus of the stress test is cross-play functionality, a significant undertaking for a game of Baldur's Gate 3's scale. Players are encouraged to recruit friends or join groups via the Larian Studios Discord server for collaborative cross-play testing.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update, Larian reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing support for modders, promising substantial future updates to enhance modding capabilities and empower players to create their own narratives. The official mod tools, released in September, have already seen over 70 million module downloads and over 3,000 mod uploads.
