Atomfall Shows Off Gameplay Ahead of March Release

Atomfall: A New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Post-Apocalyptic England

Rebellion Developments' upcoming first-person survival game, Atomfall, has received an extensive gameplay trailer showcasing its post-nuclear 1960s England setting. This departure from Rebellion's usual third-person action and RTS titles marks a significant shift for the studio, known primarily for its Sniper Elite franchise.

Initially revealed at Xbox's Summer Game Fest showcase, Atomfall generated buzz, particularly with its day-one Game Pass inclusion. The recent seven-minute trailer provides a deeper look into the game's mechanics.

The game plunges players into a ravaged, alternate 1960s England, evoking comparisons to titles like Fallout and STALKER. Gameplay involves exploring quarantined zones, villages, and research bunkers, scavenging resources to survive hostile environments, robots, and cultists.

The trailer highlights a range of weaponry, including a cricket bat (melee), revolver, shotgun, and bolt-action rifle—all subject to upgrades. Crafting plays a key role, allowing players to create healing items, Molotov cocktails, sticky bombs, and more. A metal detector aids in locating hidden supplies and crafting materials. Furthermore, players can unlock skills across four categories: melee, ranged combat, survival, and conditioning, via collectible training manuals.

Atomfall launches March 27th on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass immediately. Rebellion plans to release another in-depth video soon.
