ARK: Survival Ascended Roadmap Reveals 2 Years of Plans

ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled

Studio Wildcard has unveiled an ambitious content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, extending through late 2026. This detailed plan outlines a significant expansion of the remastered survival crafting game, initially released in early access in November 2023.

Key highlights of the roadmap include:

  • Unreal Engine 5.5 Upgrade (March 2025): This crucial update will significantly boost performance and pave the way for individual DLC map downloads, reducing the overall game size. Nvidia's frame generation support will also return.

  • New Maps and Creatures: The roadmap details a steady stream of new content, including:

    • Free Map Releases: Ragnarok Ascended (April 2025), Valguero Ascended (August 2025), Genesis Ascended (Parts 1 & 2 in April and August 2026), and Fjordur Ascended (December 2026).
    • Paid Map: A new premium map (June 2025), details to be announced later.
    • Free Creatures: Community-voted creatures will be added alongside several map releases. A Bison is confirmed for April 2025.
    • Fantastic Tames: Several new Fantastic Tames are planned throughout 2025 and 2026, adding exciting new creatures to tame and interact with. One is slated for April 2025.
  • Bob's True Tales: This previously announced content, part of the game's season pass, will be released in two parts alongside the Genesis Ascended updates.

The roadmap provides a high-level overview, suggesting the possibility of additional unannounced content throughout the next two years. The focus remains on delivering significant updates, including new maps, creatures, and performance enhancements, ensuring a continuously evolving and engaging experience for ARK players.
