Anno 117: Pax Romana Trailer Released Roman Empire Expansion Gameplay

Ubisoft Mainz has unveiled a new trailer showcasing Anno 1800's successor, Anno 117: Pax Romana. While previously announced as featuring Lazio and Albion, the trailer reveals Lazio serves as a tutorial-like introduction before the main game unfolds in Albion.

Creative Director Manuel Rainer explains that Lazio starts peacefully, but a catastrophic event forces players to explore the challenging environment of Albion—ancient Britain. Albion presents harsh weather, rebellious tribes, and significant distance from Rome, making governance a complex undertaking.

Players act as governors, tasked with overcoming these challenges through diplomacy as well as military might. A key element is the ability to customize ships, choosing between speed boosts from oarsmen or increased firepower from archery turrets.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is scheduled for release in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X.
