Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Launches at $2,399

Author:Kristen Update:Jun 01,2025

Dell is currently offering an Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC featuring the latest GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for just $2,399.99, including shipping. This represents one of the best values available for an RTX 5080-equipped prebuilt system, particularly given that most other manufacturers have been steadily increasing their prices since the RTX 50 series launched in January. The only other Alienware model with an RTX 5080 costs over $4,000. Building your own PC with a standalone GPU is nearly impossible right now, as prices are skyrocketing.

Update: Like others in the industry, Dell has been affected by recent tariffs. With the supply of Blackwell GPUs remaining tight, expect prices for Alienware gaming desktops with RTX 50 series GPUs to rise soon.

Alienware Aurora R16 Intel Core Ultra 7 265F RTX 5080 Gaming PC

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC comes equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F Meteor Lake CPU offers a maximum turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. It is cooled by a robust 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is powered by a generous 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The RTX 5080 is one of three new Blackwell graphics cards available (though they’re incredibly difficult to find). In our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review, Jackie notes, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the past few years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 isn’t a must-buy – it doesn’t significantly outperform the RTX 4080, although DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance visuals in supported games. However, for gamers with older GPUs, the RTX 5080 delivers a noticeable boost, especially if you embrace Nvidia’s AI features."

RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere

The initial wave of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs went on preorder and sold out almost immediately. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to launch, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Unfortunately, the same applies to prebuilt gaming PCs equipped with these GPUs. Several systems were listed at launch, but they are now either out of stock, marked up in price, or subject to lengthy delivery delays.
