8 Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass in May 2025

Author:Kristen Update:Dec 18,2025

Microsoft has announced which titles will be leaving its Xbox Game Pass subscription catalog on May 15, 2025. A total of eight games are set to be removed, including Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Little Kitty, Big City.

Xbox Game Pass is a gaming subscription service for Xbox and PC platforms. Subscribers can stream games directly to smart devices and consoles, play new releases on day one (depending on their subscription tier), and access a library of hundreds of high-quality games with friends on console, PC, or via cloud streaming. The following eight titles are being removed from that cloud-accessible library.

Microsoft is expected to announce the Wave 2 lineup for May 2025 shortly after these games depart the service.

Earlier this month, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members received a new benefit: the ability to stream select games directly to their consoles without needing to download them.

This update was shared in an Xbox Wire post, confirming that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can now stream games from the Game Pass catalog, as well as select titles they own, to their Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles via cloud streaming. Previously, this feature was available on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets, but this marks its first availability on consoles.

If today's news about Grand Theft Auto 6 being delayed to May 2026 has you wanting to revisit GTA 5, remember that GTA 5 Enhanced is currently available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. Its arrival on PC Game Pass is especially notable, as it's the first time the game has been offered through that service.
