Marvel Mainstay Dan Slott revient à DC avec `` Superman Unlimited ''

DC Comics annonce Superman Unlimited , une nouvelle série mensuelle qui débute en mai 2025, ramenant le célèbre écrivain Marvel Dan Slott à DC. Slott, connu pour son travail sur The Amazing Spider-Man , She-Hulk , et Fantastic Four , revient à DC après une exclusivité Marvel de deux décennies. Cela marque un retour important, après les précédentes contributions DC comme Arkham Asylum: Living Hell et Batman Adventures .

Slott décrit la série comme un rêve à vie, en se concentrant non seulement sur les pouvoirs de Superman mais aussi son personnage principal. Il promet des histoires surprenantes mettant en vedette Superman, Lois Lane, des méchants familiers et de nouveaux adversaires.

La série présente une nouvelle réalité périlleuse pour Superman. Une douche d'astéroïdes de kryptonite laisse la planète saturée de K vert, autonomisant l'intergang avec des armes améliorées en kryptonite. Cela oblige Superman à développer des technologies innovantes et des stratégies de combat. Simultanément, Clark Kent fait face à une planète quotidienne transformée, maintenant un géant mondial des médias après sa fusion avec Galaxy Communications de Morgan Edge.

Le rédacteur en chef du groupe DC, Paul Kaminski, compare l'impact de Superman Unlimited sur celui de Jeph Loeb et d'Ed McGuinness, Superman/Batman * au début des années 2000. Il met en évidence l'accent mis sur la série sur les aventures à grande échelle tout en introduisant un nouveau point de l'intrigue significatif: un dépôt massif de kryptonite. Cela crée un monde où même les criminels mineurs constituent une menace sérieuse pour Superman.

Kaminski contraste davantage Superman Unlimited avec la Justice League Unlimited de DC, mettant l'accent sur les super-villains autonomes par l'art green répandu K. Il loue le scénario inventif de Slott et l'art frappant d'Albuquerque, promettant une année pivot pour Superman en 2025.
