Eine In-App-Ankündigung (übersetzt aus dem Japanischen) bestätigte den Übergang der Entwicklungs- und Betriebsverantwortung von Select Button Co., Ltd. zu Pokémon Works. Der Nachrichtenbereich der globalen App hat diese Änderung jedoch noch nicht berücksichtigt.

Interessanterweise teilt sich Pokémon Works einen Standort in Tokio mit ILCA, dem Studio hinter den Pokémon-Remakes 2021, Brilliant Diamond und Shining Pearl und Mitentwickler von Pokémon HOME. Iwasaki erwähnte auch den Beitrag von Pokémon Works zu Pokémon HOME.
