Persona 3 Reload Still Unlikely to Include Female Protagonist from P3PIn einem kürzlich von PC Gamer berichteten Interview enthüllte Produzent Kazushi Wada, dass Atlus ursprünglich darüber nachgedacht hatte, die weibliche Protagonistin (FeMC) in Persona 3 Portable hinzuzufügen, nämlich Shiomi Kotone/Arisato Minato. Bei der Planung des Nachveröffentlichungs-DLCs „Episode Aigis – Die Antwort“ von Persona 3 Reload wurde jedoch aufgrund von Entwicklungs- und Budgetbeschränkungen letztendlich beschlossen, FeMC auszuschließen.

Persona 3 Reload ist ein komplettes Remake des JRPG-Klassikers von 2006, das im Februar dieses Jahres veröffentlicht wurde. Das Spiel führt viele der ikonischen Features und Mechaniken dieser Version wieder ein, aber das Fehlen von Kotone/Minako enttäuschte viele Fans. Trotz der Anfragen der Fans machte Wada deutlich, dass das Hinzufügen der Figur einfach nicht machbar sei.

„Je mehr wir darüber sprachen, desto unwahrscheinlicher war es“, erklärte Wada. „Die Entwicklungszeit und -kosten wären unerschwinglich.“ Selbst wenn ihre Idee, es per DLC hinzuzufügen, in Betracht gezogen würde, „aber da wir innerhalb dieses Zeitfensters kein P3R mit einer weiblichen Protagonistin veröffentlichen können, können wir es einfach nicht tun.“ es“, sagte er angeblich. „Es tut mir wirklich leid für alle Fans, die sich große Hoffnungen gemacht haben, aber es wird wahrscheinlich nie passieren.“
