Ein aktuelles Leck eines Insiders, "Fraxiswinning", deutet darauf hin, dass Ubisoft Rainbow Six Siege 2 auf der sechs Einladung 2025 vorstellen wird, die für den 14. bis 16. Februar in der MGM Music Hall geplant sind.

Diese angebliche Fortsetzung, Codenamed "Siege X", wird Berichten zufolge eine überarbeitete Engine verwendet, die über aktualisierte Texturen und Charaktermodelle verbessertes Visuals bietet. Darüber hinaus behauptet die Quelle, dass Ubisoft plant, auf temporäre Ereignisse aus dem ursprünglichen Spiel zugunsten neuer Inhalte zurückzukehren. Der prognostizierte Veröffentlichungsdatum ist Mitte 2025 und fällt mit der zweiten Staffel des zehnten Unterstützungsjahres des Spiels zusammen.
