Midnight Society, The Game Development Studio, Mitbegründung des beliebten Streamer Guy 'Dr. Respektlosigkeit 'Beahm hat seine Schließung nach dreijähriger Betriebsjahren angekündigt. Das Studio, in dem auch Veteranen aus renommierten Titeln wie Call of Duty und Halo wie Robert Bowling und Quinn Delhyo gehörten, machte die Ankündigung über einen Beitrag auf X. Darüber hinaus wandten sie sich an die Gaming -Community und fragten, ob derzeit Studios einstellen und ihren Teammitgliedern Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten bieten könnten.

Das Flaggschiff-Projekt des Studios, Deadrop, sollte ein kostenloser Ego-Shooter (FPS) sein, der die umfangreiche Erfahrung des Teams im Genre nutzen würde. Das Spiel zielte zunächst auf eine Veröffentlichung von 2024 ab und verpasste leider seine Frist. Deadrop wurde in einem einzigartigen fiktiven Universum vorgestellt, in dem "die 80er Jahre nie endete" mit Charakteren mit düster Punk-inspirierten Helmen und einer Mischung aus Waffen und Schwertern. Das Gameplay wurde als Extraktionsschütze im PVPVE -Stil entwickelt und verspricht ein engagiertes Erlebnis für Spieler.

Die Reise der Midnight Society hat sich im Jahr 2024 eine bedeutende Wendung erbracht, als sie sich mit Beahm trennten, nachdem er eingestanden hatte, Nachrichten mit einem Minderjährigen durch Twitchs Flüstern auszutauschen, die er als manchmal unangemessen anerkannte. Trotz dieser Trennung arbeitete das Studio bis zu seiner Schließung in diesem Jahr weiter auf Deadrop.
