Alan Wake 2 hat weltweit über 2 Millionen Einheiten verkauft.

Dies markiert einen Anstieg von den 1,3 Millionen Exemplaren, die zwischen Oktober 2023 und März 2024 verkauft wurden, als Remedy, der Entwickler, die Horror-Fortsetzung als den bisher am schnellsten verkauften Titel feierte.

In seinem neuesten Finanzbericht an Investoren gab Remedy bekannt, dass dieser Meilenstein, kombiniert mit der Veröffentlichung der Erweiterung The Lake House und der Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition, es dem Spiel ermöglicht hat, „Lizenzgebühren zu generieren“, nachdem die Entwicklungs- und Marketingkosten gedeckt wurden.

Blick in die Zukunft: Das Studio gab bekannt, dass Control 2, in Zusammenarbeit mit Annapurna entwickelt, „kurz vor dem Abschluss der Produktionsvorbereitungsphase steht“ und bis Ende Februar 2025 in die volle Produktion gehen wird. Das Max Payne 1&2 Remake „schreitet stetig in der vollen Produktion voran“.

Ebenso bleibt FBC: Firebreak, Remedys Multiplayer-Ableger von Control, nach einem „erfolgreichen“ geschlossenen technischen Test im Dezember in voller Produktion, der es externen Spielern ermöglichte, Matchmaking und Backend-Systeme zu bewerten. Obwohl kein offizielles Veröffentlichungsdatum festgelegt wurde, wird Remedy FBC: Firebreak später im Jahr 2025 selbst veröffentlichen.
