A few weeks ago, we discussed Studio Ellipsis's "Sea of Conquest" comic, a unique approach to supporting new media. Now, Digital Extremes follows suit with a prequel comic for Warframe: 1999, available directly from the Warframe website.

This 33-page comic, illustrated by fan artist Karu, explores the backstories of the Hex Syndicate's Protoframes. Witness the lives of these six individuals, their experimentation under Albrecht Entrati, and their ties to the broader Warframe universe.

Beyond the comic, a free printable landing pad poster featuring the comic's cover art is available. Additionally, free printable 3D miniatures of all six Protoframes are provided for players to assemble and paint.
