Fantasma Adds Multiple Languages for Latam Players

Author:Kristen Update:Dec 20,2024

Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma at Gamescom Latam—a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game. This exciting title has just received a significant update.

The update adds Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support, perfectly timed with the Brazilian location of Gamescom Latam. Further expansion is planned, with German, Italian, and Spanish coming in the next few months.

But what exactly is Fantasma? In this AR game, players hunt and battle mischievous creatures called Fantasmas. Using portable electromagnetic fields (think advanced bait!), players lure these paranormal entities into view.

Combat takes place in AR, requiring players to move their phones to keep the Fantasmas in sight while tapping the screen to fire projectiles. Defeated Fantasmas are then captured in special bottles.

Fantasmas appear based on real-world location, encouraging exploration. Players can deploy sensors to expand their search radius and even team up with others for a more collaborative experience.

Fantasma is free-to-play (with in-app purchases) and available now on the App Store and Google Play. Download links are provided below. For fans of the AR genre, check out our list of the best AR games for iOS.
