What's New in Season 4?

This season introduces a frigid tundra habitat complete with icy winds, deep snowdrifts, and a roster of formidable monsters. Prepare to encounter Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the fearsome Tigrex for the first time in the game. Returning favorites like Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos also make appearances. Tigrex will be a major player in Hunt-a-thons and may even surprise you in the field. Unlocking these creatures requires completing urgent quests throughout Season 4's story chapters. Access to the tundra itself is granted after finishing the prologue.

A Powerful New Weapon: The Switch Axe

Season 4 introduces the versatile Switch Axe. This two-in-one weapon boasts long-range strikes in Axe Mode and ferocious melee attacks in Sword Mode. Unlock the Switch Gauge by completing Chapter 2 of the pre-season story.

Customizable Palico Companions

Hunt alongside your own personalized Palico companion! Customize its fur color, facial features, and give it a unique name. AR functionality lets you bring your Palico into the real world for some memorable photos.

Friend Cheering Feature

Season 4 also adds a Friend Cheering system. Send cheers to your friends to give them a temporary health boost for the day (with a daily limit).
