Set in the present day, the story centers around Imperial Heavy Industries, a giant corporation dominating the market for Automata—automatic machine dolls—used in both industry and homes.
Kawashima Uto, a student at Holy Emperor Academy, becomes entangled in a runaway Automata incident, only to be saved by Kakuri-in Nova, a third-generation Automata. Uto is subsequently drawn into Nova's world and tasked with a critical mission: capturing five school idols to defeat Mugen Tsukuyomi.
Teaming up with Nova and Kageyama, a key operative, Uto embarks on a quest to unravel the secrets of the seemingly perfect student council president, Shido Minato. Her impeccable reputation hides a mystery waiting to be discovered.
